When initially purchased, the property consisted of two lots with a 3 bedroom 2 bath main house, a detached garage with an apartment inside and a small 2 story cabin in the back. The line dividing these two lots originally ran right through the detached garage. The house was initially constructed in the 40's then had an addition built on it in the 70's. It was at this time that the garage was built as well. This original Wilson homestead signified the local Mountain lifestyle and flavor of the area until it was damaged by fire in 2000. The original house was then completely torn down and rebuilt from the ground up.

When the house was rebuilt it was connected with the garage. The roof of the garage was renovated, greatly increasing it's insulation and the building's structural integrity. By rebuilding on top of the same footprint of the old home, with minor expansion,  the grandfathered setbacks along the north lot line were maintained. Towards the West end, the house sits less than two feet from the lot line. As you move East this distance increases to around three feet. Current setbacks are a minimum of 10 feet.

In March of 2008  the process to amend the lot line dividing the two lots was completed. The property previously consisted of lots 6&7 Lundy Plat Block 2. Each lot was .17 acre and the line dividing them ran East-West, bisecting the garage. The lot line dividing the two now runs North-South and the lot sizes have been changed to .22 acre for lot 30 and .13 acre for lot 29. The house and garage sit on lot 30. The small cabin is situated on lot 29. Each lot has it's own well and both lots have been connected to the Wilson Sewer District.

In 2002 the short term vacation rental business, Teton Mountain Home, was established. Throughout the years the home, as well as the garage apartment, have a strong rental history.
